Stage
Combat
ages 13 to 19
Class
Description
This class focuses on the creation and illusion of staged
violence. From the most basic slaps and stage falls to the
more complex patterns and styles used for duels and battles,
students will learn how to perform safe and convincing fights
for the stage.
The Toronto Youth Theatre's
Artistic Director, Jeremy Hutton, will work with students
on basic unarmed combat in a variety of styles, basic single
sword work and basic knife technique.
At the end of the program
there will be a small presentation of stage fights for an
invited audience of friends and family!
Jeremy is certified by
Fight Director's Canada as an Advanced Actor Combatant,
and is the resident fight director of The Classical Theatre
Project, Canopy Theatre Company and Hart House Theatre.

Classes will be three hours,
once a week during the months of October and November. Specific

The fees for each TYT class
are due within two weeks of registration. Fees must be paid
by the first class. There are
